“Wow…what did I just read? This book was so amazing and totally unlike anything I’ve ever read before! I loved the element of the time travel, which can really be hit or miss, in my opinion, and feel like Kris Trudeau really raised the bar here, not only with such great writing, but the fact that this wasn’t the typical sci/fi- AI book that we see all too much of in this genre. This story is deep and complex, yet very easy to get swept up in and lose yourself in. It’s not convoluted or confusing, even though it could have been! Liked the characters, and especially watching the relationship with Owen and Riley, and loved the ending. This book makes you think and I like that it has a sort of “philosophical” feel to it as well. Quite long, but totally worth it! Would love to read more from Kris Trudeau in the future. Recommend for fans of scifi/time-travel/suspense.”

“TimeShift is a wonderfully crafted, unique mix of wit, wonder, and excitement. The lovable, robust characters, imaginative gadgets and unexpected twists keep you coming back for more. It is a delightful foray into the potential of human ingenuity and the capacity to conquer all odds in the fight for survival.”

“TimeShift is a story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go until it’s finished. From the foundation of the main ideas to the realistically constructed characters this story is well thought out and one I immensely enjoyed. A very good read!”

“Loved it. TimeShift is a uniquely refreshing change from what I’ve been reading lately. I will just say right now that I for one am usually NOT a fan of any sort of ‘time-travel’ plot device so at first I was VERY skeptical… but my fears were quickly laid to rest as I became totally wrapped up in these separate but connected worlds/time periods, and fell in love with the characters. I finished this book much faster than I normally do (surprising considering how lengthy it is) and am so happy with how it all wrapped up. The world-building here was incredibly detailed and while there isn’t a ton of depth to the characters, per say, this is more of a ‘conceptually-driven’ novel that explores possibilities and stretches the boundaries of human (and AI) imagination. But we do enjoy the cast (and it is quite large), and the writing is nicely executed with near flawless editing. Something I really appreciate. And I like that this is a stand-alone novel, not part of any series, but I hope Kris Trudeau writes more like it in the future – I’d be reading it”

“I love the book! So many great stories within one book. Never a dull moment with this fast-paced book. I can’t wait for the next one.”

“This book is a story within a story within a story…TimeShift has many layers to get immersed in. Not only does the author have an incredible ability of “painting a picture” with her descriptions, she creates a Utopian environment for the visually imaginative reader. I refer to this type of read as mind candy! I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading it.”

You have masterfully woven a mystery, a love story and science fiction into a logical and exciting book. It was fun, exciting and leaves me wanting more. Great and awesome job, I can’t say enough!”

“I don’t normally read Science Fiction novels but TimeShift was the perfect mix of SciFi, Adventure and Mystery with the perfect dash of Romance. It had a great story line, fantastic characters (I had several favourites) and a lot of creativity. I savoured each chapter and found myself wishing there was a sequel as soon as I finished it. I want to see Time Shift as a movie! Thank you Kris for the fun trip into the future. You made it easy to picture!”

“TimeShift is the first book I’ve read from this talented author Kris Trudeau, but I won’t be the last! I thought the storyline and the character development to be very well done and thought out. I feel like this level of complexity could have easily ended up badly, but instead I darn near gobbled the whole book down in one week. Solid writing that is super descriptive but not so much as to kill the tension (a tricky balance to achieve, I think). I did find the beginning to be a bit slow, however, especially after that intriguing prologue. It is cool that Chapter 1 starts on my birthday, though, but it slows down with a bunch of ‘telling’ backstory, which I’m not a fan of. As this is a book involving time travel and various alternate existences, it can get a tad confusing if you put the book down for any length of time, but fortunately I never felt too lost for very long. Solid editing and great flow, and an interesting mix of characters (some more developed than others) along the way makes for an entertaining, and at times profound, read.”

“I’m not one for mystery thrillers or science fiction but this story grabbed my attention and I found it difficult to put down!”

“This book by Kris Trudeau was terrific! Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop until I’d finished the whole thing. It pulls you in from the beginning, and I enjoyed the author’s descriptive narrative and style of writing. The interweaving plotlines were well-developed and certainly not predictable, and there were so many aspects to this book that appealed to me on an emotional and intellectual level. Appreciated that for a book involving so much ‘time shifting’ it felt very authentic and not some caricature-style plot device. The way this book was written grabbed me right from the beginning and kept my attention throughout. It was intelligent, weird, sad, dark, funny, deep, tragic, suspenseful, sweet… Owen is a great lead we can really root for, and while the beginning may have more setup than action, the tension continues to build throughout, and the ending is wonderful – and actually completes the story, which is a great change! Love that it isn’t a series, but a complete story, one that will test the limits of your imagination and take your mind to new places. I’d love to read more from this author in the future!”

“Absolutely loved your book! At first I thought it was such a familiar story line in sci-fi, but this was very different and I never once found myself making any comparisons. I am the kind of person who starts many books but finishes few. I kept thinking about Timeshift when I wasn’t reading it. Kept looking at how far along I was and was disappointed it would end soon. I Hope you write a sequel.”
